You will work closely with our business partners and other members of MSB IT.The Solutions Engineer BI provides data-driven solutions, using a variety of technologies and data sources.

Their deliverables include analytic-embedded processes and automation, business analytic modeling, and ad-hoc data discovery – and ultimately enables business insights.

This role reports to the Team Lead – Data Analytics.Primary AccountabilitiesConsult with business owners and leaders on ways to improve efficiency, increase revenue, and reduce risk using analytics.Communicate complex data analysis concepts to diverse audiences in non-technical terms.Lead business data gathering, analysis, and reporting projects.Develop conceptual and logical data models to meet business data management, process automation, and decision support needs.Develop and manage documentation and logs to support the accuracy and controls of analytic models and reports.Conduct design reviews and code reviews for projects.

Follow and embrace team standards and development best practices.Participate in all aspects of the application lifecycle: requirements analysis & definition, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment.

Manage releases of analytic models and reports throughout the SDLC.Ensure data security and privacy issues are taken into consideration during design, development, and deployment.Implement and support analytic models and reports, including backups, recovery, tuning, security, accuracy.

Capture and analyze model and report performance to identify improvements in indexing, file structure, maintenance processes, and query performance.Plan and conduct periodic reviews of analytic models and reports through the lifecycle, retraining or retiring models no longer fit-for-use.Maintain and expand expertise in one or more technical skills through continuous self-study, training, and certifications.Mentor other team members on business data, tools, and techniques.Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).Position QualificationsEducation/Experience:BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or related quantitative or business field.5+ years of experience designing, implementing and managing data models and analytic modelsExpert in Relational database querying using SQL (Oracle, Microsoft, MySQL etc.)Experienced with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Cognos, MS PowerBI or TableauExpert verbal and written communication skills.
