Project Scheduler needed for a heavy civil group in the Upper Midwest! This is a remote role with some travel up to 30% at times.

Description

The Project Scheduler is responsible for creating, updating, and coordinating project schedules. Creates resource usage model and predictions. Works closely with team leaders to build, evaluate and optimize project schedules.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in BCMS or Engineering, 2-5 years of construction scheduling experience, or an equivalent combination of both

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze data to make informed decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Claim digger, cost control, change management, earned value, and estimating experience is preferred
  • A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
  • PSP, CST, or EVP certifications desired
  • Travel up to 20%- 30%

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with superintendents, project managers, estimators, and field leadership to create, plan, schedule, and control all project activities to provide transparency in the work
  • Prepare, monitor, and amend project schedules to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished withing the prescribed time frame
  • Possess organizational skills, demonstrate critical thinking, and communicate effectively
  • Work with internal and external construction teams to manage weekly updates and multi-week look ahead schedules
  • Develop monthly progress updates including written narrative and Gantt chart providing progress for submission to clients
  • Develop standard templates for schedule layouts and reporting
  • Develop indicators for internal stakeholders regarding schedule and cost performance.
  • Alert the project management team in the event of any major deviation from the project schedule
