Principal Cloud Validation Engineer, Apex Engineering

This position is remote anywhere in the USA.

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software and automation for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

What you’ll achieve

As a Principal Cloud Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and automation framework and to address the challenges of XaaS infrastructure consumption and support of our customer’s as they digitally transform their operation model.

You will:

  • Develop software validation plans based on functional specifications

  • Design, document, and execute test cases at all stages of the validation cycle, including both manual validation to complete automated regression test suites

  • Design and lead the effort on automation, CI/CD processes and tools to make our services simpler and more robust

  • Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes

  • Take part in the full automation software development life cycle including development, test, update, debug, and continuous delivery and support

  • Be an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery

Essential Requirements

  • 6 – 8 years of software / automation development experience

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • experience with Cloud specifically aaS deployment environment

  • Agility to adapt to technologies and processes quickly

  • Ability to define and execute all aspects of key validation projects

  • Strong development/programming experience in Python/Ansible/ Kubernetes

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field

  • Experience with aaS deployment Automation, Enterprise Storage, Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
