Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Credentialing Specialist will be dedicated to supporting the physician credentialing practices for RetinaVue, P.C.

This role is designed to ensure that RetinaVue P.C.’s physician credentialing practices comply with all relevant policies, laws, regulations, standards, and customer requirements.

A successful Credentialing Specialist will be an individual with strong attention to detail and rigor with process, who is also able to work closely with a number of cross-functional stakeholders, including sales, legal, and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review initial and reappointment applications for completeness
Verifies provider documents and ensures that they meet contract requirements and are kept up to date
Obtains credentialing data needed for onboarding, contracting, and other related purposes
Maintain documents in an electronic filing system
Communicates with outside clients as needed
Intake credentialing packets from clients
Support internal and external audits
Generate credential approval letters
Make observations and recommendations for improvement to management
Undertakes special projects and other duties assigned

Qualifications

REQUIRED BACKGROUND:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience in the healthcare environment
Two years of applicable experience, specifically with an emphasis on physician credentialing
A CPCS or CPMSM certification from the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) is a bonus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A high degree of organization and efficiency with attention to detail

Ability to learn organizations software system to perform job duties
Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Office Products, and Internet navigation.
Ability to multi-task under tight timelines with strong administrative and organizational skills
