Well-being Specialist (Remote)

Thank you for considering a career at Bon Secours Mercy Health SUMMARY The Well-being Specialist will support the strategy, development and evaluation of current and future well-being programming including but not limited to development of innovative health promotion and disease management programs, support of day-to-day program operations, collaboration with internal teams, executing an effective communication strategy and management of external vendors.

This position will document well-being and recognition program effectiveness through various tools including participant satisfaction, behavior change, health outcomes and economic impact.

Remote but must work eastern time zone hours.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Engage in the strategic project development, operation, and evaluation of and health and well-being programs through collaboration and innovation with internal and external partners.

Collaborate across functions to implement policies and practices to foster health and wellbeing at Bon Secours Mercy Health including the coordination of system-wide campaigns, programs, events, etc.

Assist in platform management including but not limited to challenge administration, waiver process, file management, program integration and screening strategy.

Support tailored, creative and inclusive communications which promote the goodness of well-being and other rewards programs.

Develop and leverage effective measurement tools to demonstrate well-being program impact which includes maintaining meaningful dashboards and timely ad hoc reports.

Provide excellent customer service regarding day-to-day well-being program questions and escalated issues, including the prompt research and resolution of those issues with vendors.

Contribute to delivering important messages, timely and strategic dashboards and other content to demonstrate program effectiveness to key BSMH stakeholders regarding well-being and other related programs.

Analyze existing reports from well-being programs and platforms to identify health management trends and opportunities for the system.

Responsible for monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of well-being and other related programs processes including audits, compliance activities, as well as for developing and updating documented standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Assist with the selection of external vendor partners, as well as contribute to mature existing relationships on a day-to-day basis holding them accountable for service deliverables and performance guarantees.

QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelors required Field of Study
– Health Education and promotion, exercise science, public health, health care administration or other allied health field Masters preferred Field of Study
– Public health or related field Licensure/Certification: Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred Experience: 0-2 years of worksite well-being experience required 3-5 years of worksite well-being experience preferred FUNCTIONAL & INTERPERSONAL SKILL ITEMS Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Work well with cross-functional teams Proficient understanding of health promotion principles Great communication skills Ability to implement action plans around data and trends Ability to work on a team and independently Demonstrated ability to engage populations with health communication Innovative and strategic thinking Experience with event logistics Detail oriented Ability to apply behavioral health principles Excellent time management Experience in customer service Excellent presentation skills to leaders and associates Deep understanding of health promotion program planning Committed to inclusion Fundamental understanding of well-being programs Demonstrates emotional intelligence Fosters Core Culture Behaviors WORKING CONDITIONS Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.

Long-distance or air travel as needed
– not to exceed 10% travel.

General office environment.

May have periods of constant interruptions.

Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.

Remote
– Rarely required to report to a work location In-person collaboration maybe required when necessary.

Associates may live anywhere but recommend in the footprint when possible.
