Bid Manager- (London/Remote)

This is a Full-time position in London, AR posted October 31, 2021.

As an important member of the Global Bid Team, the Proposal Manager is responsible for overseeing all

phases of the RFP process for qualified opportunities, coordinating projects, acting as primary RFP

liaison and project lead.

Although this role will report to the Manager of the U.K.

Bid and Proposal Team, it is global and will be

primarily required to support the U.K.

Bid and Proposal Team.

This role will be an important member

and contributor to both Bid and Proposal Teams.

Due to this, the successful candidate will need to

possess the ability to work well in a remote small team environment, supporting team members globally

and under demanding deadlines and across many time zones.

This role is responsible for the delivery of timely, accurate, and professionally designed RFPs, and

requires the ability to work well under pressure with challenging deadlines.

It will require strong people

management and communication skills (both written and verbal).

As this role will primarily support bids in the U.K.

Region, they will be expected to have and bring

international bid experience and expertise to the team.

This role will also need to support

government/public sector RFPs and will be expected to have experience in this type of interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Create an RFP Response Plan that drives the successful completion of each RFP project
  • Organize team members by identifying the roles & responsibilities for document completion and
  • lead sessions to drive towards fast and efficient completion of bids
  • Track and manage risk throughout the bid process
  • Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues
  • Communicate and influence at a senior level
  • Track the progress of the RFP response to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Compile content/input from all team members into the final response, taking responsibility for the overall quality of the document
  • Contribute to the written proposal – both in terms of content and presentation
  • Ensure timely delivery of compliant, commercially sound and professionally-produced proposals and bids – regularly managing overlapping or conflicting deadlines
  • Balance a workload that can include 3+ RFPs at a time
  • Assist with driving global best practices around proposal qualification and response process
  • Assist with coaching sales teams and subject matter experts in persuasive writing and proposal best practice
  • Assist with maintaining the RFPIO database and various proposal templates

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with remote and on-site team members
  • Strong work ethic; attention to detail and accuracy is fundamental
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong experience with international RFPs, specifically in the U.K.

    region

  • Minimum of 5 years’ sales win/loss, proposal & bid management experience in SaaS or Telecom
  • An excellent communicator and negotiator who can manage situations and influence others
  • Work to time constraints while maintaining a high level of attention to detail; prioritizing tasks and setting expectations accordingly, especially under pressure
  • Well organized and a self-motivated team player
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and Adobe Acrobat

Nice to have

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent, plus 5+ years of experience in a related discipline
  • Experience with proposal automation software (i.e.: RFPIO software)
  • Previously worked in the Software, Telecommunications, Managed Services, Cloud Services, or Hosted Telephony environments
